The program offers qualified refugee and returnees the opportunities for education.

Speaking at the program at the Executive INN in Thinkers Village in Paynesville, LRRRC Deputy Executive Director for Operations Hon. Alphonso Wallace challenged the DAFI scholars to be hard working, diligent and build a character that will represent the Government of Liberia UNHCR, and German Government respectively.

According to Hon. Wallace, the Government of Liberia has been instrumental in providing the space for Refugees children and refugee who wanted to have access to education including scholars on the DAFI program.

Earlier, UNHCR Country Representative to Liberia Excellency Anthony Abogi recounted the importance of the DAFI program.

According to him, the program contributes to the human resource development of Refugees to their Countries of origin. In Liberia, 18 students are beneficial of Scholarship mainly from Nimba, Grand Gedeh and Maryland Counties.

He said the program also provides human capital development for refugee communities to contribute to durable solutions including rebuilding, politics, economic, social and structures upon repatriation to their Countries of origin.
